What we learnt at Wine School

By in Restaurants, The Butler Wine-Show

I went to Plumpton College is Sussex, and Sam’s manager Kris is currently part-time there doing a BSc in the study of vines and wine-making. Its great to have resource in the heart of Sussex where many of England’s wine hopes are being realised – such as Ridgeview wines in Ditchling (who won the Decanter wine award for best sparkling wines over £10 – the first time its been won by anything other than a champagne.)

But what have we learnt?!

Kris spells it out: find out what you want and like, don;t go with the flow, if you like petrol, drink it. But learn about it, try other petrols and move onto oil and bike fuel.

Don’t be snobby.

And decant.

Told you.
